The shop, in our own words
Okayam Auto Repair Shop is on Magsaysay Avenue in Happy Homes, Baguio City. We handle mechanical, electrical, aircon and body work, and we tell you what we found before we touch anything.
Reliable automotive repair that leads to customer satisfaction
That is the promise on our Facebook page, and it comes down to three habits we do not break.
- Diagnose before quoting. We read the vehicle's own fault codes and inspect it properly. Guessing costs you money and costs us our reputation.
- A price before any work. You get a figure and the reason behind it, you talk it over with us, and you approve it, before a single bolt comes out.
- Explain before billing. We show you what was replaced and why. Ask for the old parts and you get them back.
Judge the work, not the stars
Our Facebook page is mostly before-and-after photos of finished cars, because that is the part worth arguing about. Over 3,400 people follow it, and the recommendations there are from customers who have had work done.
Built for Baguio driving
Steep grades, long descents, cold mornings and wet-season roads are hard on brakes, clutches and cooling systems. That is the work we see most, so it is the work we know best.
Private and fleet vehicles
Family cars, pickups, vans and small commercial fleets. If you run several vehicles, call us and we will work out a maintenance schedule around your routes.
Before you bring it in
Can I wait while the work is done?
For short jobs like a change-oil or an aircon recharge, yes. There is parking in the yard. For longer work we will tell you when to come back for it once we have looked at the vehicle.
Do you work on my make?
We handle the common Japanese and Korean makes on Philippine roads: Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, Isuzu, Hyundai, Kia, plus most pickups and vans. Call if yours is unusual and we will tell you straight.
What should I bring?
Yourself and the vehicle. Bring the OR/CR if you have it handy, and mention any work another shop has recently done. It often explains what we are looking at.
Is the estimate fixed?
It is an estimate, not a fixed price, and there is room to talk. Tell us your budget and we will say honestly what can wait for later, or be done a cheaper way. If the work uncovers something unexpected, we stop and ring you before carrying on.
